Some Proud Moments :)

I feel so proud of myself today! After touring and meeting the teachers at my school in Yakage, I decided to take a trip to the Soja City Hall to ask questions on what days the garbage is collected each week. I held the whole conversation in Japanese – including my own questions. Better yet, I even understood all of what was said to me! My Japanese must be slowly improving :D

I also visited the supermarket (which is open 24 hours by the way!) and purchased food for the next few days. It will be an interesting experience cooking on my own. Who knows, I could have a Master Chef inside me yet!

To top my day off, I also found a 100 yen shop just around the corner from my house!! How has it taken me nearly a week to find this out? I truly am lucky in terms of my location!
